X388 Early 19th Century Lancaster Co Pennsylvania two door Pantry Cupboard with original dry red paint. Wonderful form with four fully mortised and chamfered panels per door. High cut-out feet and applied picture-frame molding around the front of the Cupboard. Wood is white pine and one-board width, square-nailed construction. The interior of the cupboard retains old oyster white paint and has an unusual configuration of shelves in that the top two shelves are stepped back half depth for easy access to canning jars on those shelves. Circa 1820.
